Greetings From President

Jean McIver
President

Welcome to Women United for Christ Ministry information section. Every woman (age 18 and older) who is a member of the Mount Moriah Baptist Church Family is a member of the Women United for Christ Ministry (WUFC). Our emblem, three circles intertwined represents Evangelism, Enrichment, and Service. The center where all three circles are connected represents the unity of Women in Christ. We have four objectives:

  1. To nurture and spiritually develop young and adult women of Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Spartanburg, SC
  2. To persuade young and adult women to Christ
  3. To recruit and nurture young women in the community
  4. To provide educational topics specific to the needs of young and adult women

As a part of the Body of Christ, we are making a commitment to do our part by joining God in His work, by studying God’s Word, praying for each other, helping each other and others to grow in Christ, and sharing God’s love with our community. None of this can be done without Christ, the leadership and guidance from our pastor, Pastor Benjamin D. Snoddy, and you. We invite you to join us as we join Christ in His work. We meet the second Saturday of each month at 3:00 pm in the J. Leon Pridgen Fellowship Hall at the church.

On behalf of the officers and members of the Women United for Christ Ministry, we welcome you and thank you for visiting this website!!!

Yours for the Cause of Christ,
Jean McIver, President

To God be the glory!  It’s finally here…our 2008 Women’s Conference, “Extraordinary Women Abiding in Christ and Walking According to God’s Plan!”  This year’s conference is scheduled for October 24th and 25th.  It is our hope that all Christian women will mark their calendars and plan to attend.  Sisters, God has awesome blessings in store for each of us as we join together to worship, pray, study, and fellowship during this year’s Women’s Conference.

Over the past several months, we have prayed that God would use this anointed weekend to bless and spiritually strengthen all women and female teens of every age from near and far.  We trust and believe that through Him we will receive spiritual healing, deliverance, joy, peace, and guidance to live our lives according to God’s plan.

We are very blessed to have speakers and facilitators leading sessions that range from Obedience and Finances to Hope and Balancing Work and Family.  Additionally, our “Dreamgirls” (teens only) will attend sessions so they, too, will grow to become Extraordinary Women Abiding in Christ and Walking According to God’s Plan.

We sincerely appreciate and want to thank the Mount Moriah Baptist Church Women United For Christ Ministry for their prayers, support and dedication throughout the planning process for this year’s conference. Thank you for your love, prayers, and commitment as we join God in His work!

My sisters, I know that we will leave this weekend spiritually rejuvenated as we continue to develop a legacy of being Extraordinary Women Abiding in Christ and Walking According to God’s Plan.

In Christ’s Service,
Tan Benson, Chairperson
2008 Women’s Conference
